VIDEO: Oliver braves the bay for a second time.
July 7th, 2014
The adventure of watching Oliver grow into a water dog started on a whim with a quick stop on the frontage and a trial swim in the bay with a frisbee. The next step was the waveless but even scarier safety of the pool. Oliver made the quick switch from frisbee to ChuckIt! and our next stop on the frontage saw Oliver now willing to brave the waves, but certainly with less ferocity than his previous excursions into the previously calmer salty sea.
However, today after a lovely walk around the marina during which Oliver actually appeared calm and content, making me fall more and more in love with him with every step of quality leash-walking, he made my heart burst when he hurtled himself through wave after wave to retrieve his ChuckIt! Excited and fearless, confident and driven, he swam out further than ever before, through bigger waves than ever before. Each time he set foot on land, after a little body surfing help from the return waves, he dropped his ChuckIt! and egged me on for more, more, more.
Tell us about all of your water dogs in the comments... especially the little ones!
